New blog :)

Well, I haven't kept a blog in a few years, but every night when my kids are in bed, I always think that wouldn't it be nice to not just have pictures of these moments, but to have stories also? So here I am. I want to do this for my family to read one day, and for me to read one day. I LOVE my little family so much.

Russell and I have been married 7 years-- still so weird to believe it's been 7 years! We've lived in 2 houses and want to eventually move to a little piece of country, but for now, our little suburban home will do. Russell and I met at UMHB and I knew I liked him as soon as I saw him. I never acted on that, and he approached me one day in the library; the rest is history. We were English nerds. Fast forward, now we are mommy, daddy, SLP, and teacher/carpenter/aspiring professor. It took us 5 years of our marriage to find the perfect church, and I'd do it all again if I knew it was the only way to find the perfect one. We are happy where we are now and this summer we are even teaching our son's Sunday school class :)

That brings me to our son :) Elijah. Elijah is a special little boy- he has my whole heart! Elijah is now 4 years old (make the time stop going so fast!!) and let's see, how can I describe my boy? He is sweet, passionate, inquisitive, happy, rambunctious, loving.... our little lovebug. He made me a mommy and I am so proud to be his mom. I'm so excited to be documenting my Elijah stories, because I can guarantee there will be many.

And Ava, sweet Ava. She is my little girl, just shy of 18 months. I can't believe THAT either- Ava is our tiny little girl who eats like a big man, haha! She is cuddly, determined, sweet, a diva ;), definitely girly (she lovers her purses and babies), and everything we could have asked for in our little girl. I can't wait to see what adventures she gets into with her brother. I know the two of them will keep us on our toes!!

So, it's almost 1 AM and these are my thoughts. I plan to document our family stories, thoughts on God, life, etc. and just overall reflections.

In Him,
Krista
